Larry Keel Duo at Fall Fest

October 3, 2026 • Music, market, and a day on our Goochland farm

There is room in a Saturday for more than a concert. On October 3, we’re opening the farm at noon for an afternoon market, a set from Tin Can Fish Band, and an evening with Larry Keel and Winston Mitchell. Come early to browse, meet up with friends, and settle into a day of live music at Lickinghole Creek.

Our 290-acre working farm gives this gathering its setting and its purpose. Bringing people here is part of how we keep the farm active, care for wildlife habitat, and share a piece of rural Goochland with our community.

From the afternoon market to the evening set

The farmers market runs from 2–5 PM. Tin Can Fish Band starts at 3 PM and plays until 6 PM, so you can spend part of the afternoon browsing the market and still catch the band. There is an hour between performances before Larry Keel Duo begins at 7 PM.

Larry plays acoustic guitar and sings, joined by Winston Mitchell on mandolin, guitar, and vocals. For listeners drawn to bluegrass, Americana, and the conversation between acoustic instruments, this is the evening to plan around. Their performance runs until 10 PM.

Saturday’s schedule

  • Noon — Doors open

  • 2–5 PM — Farmers market

  • 3–6 PM — Tin Can Fish Band

  • 7–10 PM — Larry Keel Duo

All times are Eastern. Fall Fest continues until 10 PM, beyond our usual Saturday hours.

The land behind the music

Beyond the gathering spaces, Little Lickinghole Creek runs through the farm’s backwoods on its way toward the James River. The creek, wooded habitat, and working farmland are connected parts of the place we care for.

Our conservation commitment is rooted in a practical challenge: keeping a working farm financially viable while preserving land and improving wildlife habitat. Music and farm events help sustain that work by bringing visitors into the life of the farm.

We want this land to stay in the family and remain protected from development. When we welcome you to Fall Fest, we’re also welcoming you into that longer story—one that continues after the last song, through the everyday work of caring for the property.
